15 years ago Ed Martinez, who passed away in March, and I wrote an instrumental song for our second Proteus album called “El Champion.” It was Ed’s opus, and I have re-recorded it and added some lyrics I wrote about him for the tribute album coming out soon. I'm playing all the instruments (including playing Ed's favorite guitar!) for the first 3 and half minutes, and then during the last two minutes it melds with the original Proteus version with Ed on guitar.
